Anne Burrell, Beloved Food Network Chef and Host of “Worst Cooks in America,” Dies at 55

The culinary world is mourning the loss of Anne Burrell, the vivacious celebrity chef and longtime host of Food Network’s “Worst Cooks in America.” Burrell passed away Tuesday morning at her home in Brooklyn, New York, at the age of 55, according to a statement released by Food Network.

“We are deeply saddened to share the news that beloved chef, Anne Burrell, passed away this morning,” the statement read. “Anne was a remarkable person and culinary talent—teaching, competing, and always sharing the importance of food in her life and the joy that a delicious meal can bring. Our thoughts are with Anne’s family, friends, and fans during this time of tremendous loss.”

Anne is survived by her husband, Stuart Claxton, whom she married in 2021, his son, her mother, and two siblings.
