Angel Reese’s Chicago Sky teammates paid tribute to her ahead of their win over the Minnesota Lynx on Saturday.

The former LSU star added another achievement to her basketball career, having been unveiled as the cover athlete for the ‘NBA 2K26 WNBA Edition’ this week. She joins Icons such as Candace Parker, A’ja Wilson, and Diana Taurasi as WNBA cover athletes.

The announcement came along with the debut of Angel’s first signature sneaker with Reebok, the “Angel Reese 1,” which is also on the cover.

With the Sky taking on the Lynx this weekend, Reese and her teammates were shown wearing 2K26-themed gear featuring her name and photos on the front during pregame.

Reese made the outing memorable, contributing a double-double of 19 points and 11 rebounds to help the Sky secure their seventh win of the season.

The 23-year-old is averaging 13.3 points per contest in her second season. She leads the WNBA in rebounds per game with 12.8 while heading into her second All-Star game.

While she’s often trolled on social media, Reese is having a pretty splendid second season in the pros.
